Why work with me?
For many years I have been engaged in the healing of my own deep physical, psychological, and spiritual trauma. The amount of more-than-human support available to me as I’ve walked this path of initiation has and continues to feed my faith in the universe and inspires my work in the world.
Informed by my own experiences of healing and by my relationships with wild nature, I can, within safe grounded spaces of learning and healing, help you identify and develop relationships with your own allies.
I am really grateful for these opportunities to work with a select group of people in such an intimate way. The participants and I have been accessing deep ecological wisdom and understanding through our interactions. In alignment with the program's foundational spirit of interconnected relationship, we are together experiencing profound shifts in the ways that we interact with the world that are enhancing the quality of our own lives and in some small way the life of the planet.
But it’s not just about you or me. Our personal health and well-being is intimately entwined with that of the ecosystems within which we live and with the Earth system as a whole. Consequently our work must extend beyond ourselves.

together—you, the plant, and I—will breathe life into the ready-to-blossom flowers that lie hidden behind the traumas and cultural imprinting to quicken the unfurling of your truest self.
I will provide post-session prompts and exercises to help facilitate this unfurling.
It’s not always easy living in this technologically dominated culture which presents us with a mostly disenchanted view of the world, and with so much to distract us from what is essential and real, it can be hard to maintain focus on the here and now let alone on the path ahead.
It’s also not easy navigating life in a culture that has forgotten its connection to the living Earth, and being members of a society that neither celebrates us as we are nor provides us with opportunities for becoming who we are presents its own difficulties.
For those like myself who feel all that is going on in the world or who carry wounds from the traumatic events of the past, life can be even more challenging. So how do we commit ourselves in ways that align with vitality-affirming flows of life force?
Remembering our Connections with the Living Earth:
Opening ourselves to connection with other-than-human intelligence promotes health and well-being as it bridges the gap precipitated by the modern conception of a separated self and fosters an alignment with our greater ecological selves. Developing practices that encourage this alignment with the living Earth prevents us from succumbing to unhealthy individual or cultural habits or customs rooted in detrimental mental or emotional pathways that affect our individual health and, by extension, the greater community of life on Earth.
Continually Unfurling Processes of Initiation:
It feels like the world as we’ve known it is falling apart, and it is. As unhealthy ways of being break down in order to reconfigure into more stable, integrated patterns, it’s time to align with new stories of collective and individual flourishing and to see our lives as continually unfolding processes of initiation.
We cannot be healthy without healthy ecosystems, and as long as we are part of the equation, ecosystems cannot be healthy without physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy humans. Our own healing and the healing of Earth are inseparable, but how do we find our way in these times of transition? To whom can we turn for help?
Ecological intelligence and Re-humanization:
When you left your house this morning did you notice the newly unfurled flowers or the way the trees swayed in the wind? Did you greet your more than human kin with gratitude? Do you know who you are and what you are here to do? While these questions might seem unrelated, I can assure you that they are not.
Ecological intelligence surrounds us and pervades all aspects of our living Earth. It guides all of the interrelations that make life possible.
It moves through and animates plants and animals. It guides the rise and fall of forests and mountain ranges and the breakdown of plant material to form rich soil.
When engaged with intentionally, ecological intelligence also informs initiatory processes of re-humanization. Re-humanization clarifies our relations with Earth and helps us remember who we are, that we are literally of this Earth.
It dissolves our sense of separateness and helps us recognize that we are each integral parts of the community of life and intimately entwined with the energetic and physical systems of the lands in which we live.
Plants as Teachers:
From the beginning, plants have embodied and transmitted the archetypal wisdom of ecological intelligence to humans. Plants have the capacity to be our greatest teachers and are capable of promoting healing on all levels of our being.
As we enter into and develop respectful and intentional relationships with plants, through meditative and embodied practices, we are able to engage in transformative processes that ground us in who we are and bring clarity of perception and expression so we can better understand what we are here to do.
Plants present us with opportunities to let go of and release old stories that no longer serve. In their place new stories—ones in which we recognize the enchantment of the world and our interrelatedness within the web of life—emerge to guide us through life and help us become more whole human beings.
