Reading the entirety of your meditation of Cottonwood's dignity, I am deeply comforted and impressed with the firm and gentle awareness it bestows. I look forward to meeting Cottonwood in this way! It's a magnificent feeling, to meet our community of tree beings and grow with their wisdom. Thank you for sharing! I look forward to returning to the Plant Teacher group! Just one more week!

I have experienced cotton wood as being wrapped by a statue of liberty-type goddess in a cotton cloud blanket of tranquility. I even fell asleep in the middle of the day curled up under the cottonwoods in oaks bottom, not my usual behavior.

I am however still getting used to the smell. As an east coaster I have no special memories associated with it, and find it rather overpowering!

Thank you for introducing me to Cottonwood in this way. I felt drawn to go out to visit and yesterday sat in a huge grove of cottonwood in the Gorge.
I felt so welcomed and part of the whole. The sweet juice of the fresh buds was like candy in my mouth. As I walked the woods my thoughts fell away to a sense of belonging and wellness. Chewing the bitter bark relieved the strain on my head. And the smell of the balsam now permeates my home.
